The spring-like force that these strips deliver help to gently support nasal passages and help reduce soft tissue collapse, which can cause the airways to narrow during exercise. By supporting the nasal passages including the nasal valve, the narrowest part of the nasal passages, a Flair Horse Nasal Strip can help make breathing easier for all neighing neighbors in all disciplines. Not only are they clinically proven to help your horse breathe easier, but they may also help reduce fatigue, conserve energy, speed up recovery and even help reduce exercise induced pulmonary hemorrhage (EIPH or lung bleeding). And you can have peace of mind knowing that they are completely drug-free!
Key Benefits- Designed with a self-adhesive to make sure the Strip stays on to support your equine athlete's respiratory health.
- Helps reduce resistance to airflow, allowing your horse to breathe easier. Less resistance to breathing means less stress on the pulmonary blood vessels, which helps keep them from rupturing.
- Promotes oxygen intake more efficiently to help sustain aerobic exercise.
- The spring-like action in FLAIR Strips supports the soft tissues over the nasal passages to make breathing easier and improve recovery.
- 100% free from drugs.
To apply
The adhesive is designed to adhere to clean, dry hair. Apply the Strips prior to exercising the horse. Clean and dry nose, brush hair on nose upward. Bend side edges of Strip down along score marks. Peel center piece of liner, fold back at score marks, hold folder liner and Strip and remove side pieces of line. Position Strip two finger widths above nostrils, pressing Strip down in the center, remove center piece of liner, secure adhesive by firmly pressing Strip down. And could include these tips: • For best results, apply the Strips 30 minutes prior to any exercise, riding or other activity that might cause the horse to sweat. • Apply Strips to a clean, dry nose. Use a clean, dry cloth, piece of vet wrap, or paper towel to remove dirt and oil prior to applying. DO NOT use water or gels on the application area. • Before applying, bend the tabbed edges to form a crease. Forming a crease on the tabbed edges of the Strip help the tabs stick to the horse's nose more securely. • DO NOT touch the adhesive prior to applying the Strip. Touching the adhesive will reduce the Strip’s ability to stick to your horse. • Apply FLAIR Strips two finger widths above the horse’s nostrils. This placement provides optimal support for the soft tissue of the nasal passage.
To remove
Leave the Strip on until the horse completely cools down. When removing the Strip, peel gently, but firmly from the top corner toward the middle. Do not remove by pulling up or down. Adhesive may cause slight loss of hair as experienced with normal shedding.
Storage
Store FLAIR Strips at room temperature. Strips that are exposed to extreme heat or cold may damage the medical-grade adhesive and not adhere properly. If it's chilly outside and a FLAIR Strip will be used, place the Strip inside your jacket for 5-10 minutes before applying to allow the Strip to warm up to at least room temperature.
