Shipping & FAQ

How much is shipping & handling? Free shipping & handling on orders $99 and over. Orders less than $99 incur a flat rate shipping & handling fee of $9.95. Most orders deliver either First Class Package service or Priority Mail. See "How fast will my order be shipped" below.

How fast will my order be shipped? Products that are in stock at time of receipt of the order will be shipped within 24 hours (excluding Saturdays and Sundays). The most efficient carrier will be chosen according package size and delivery area. Most orders are shipped either United States Postal Service Priority Mail which usually delivers in 2-4 business days, but can take as long as 7 days, or First Class Mail which usually delivers in 3-5 days.

Generally larger items (saddles, saddle pads, cowboy boots) ship FedEx or UPS. Please allow 5 - 7 days for delivery. UPS and FedEx do not ship to P.O. boxes. They prefer an updated street name and number instead of the old rural route address if you have one. If you have any special instructions or concerns with shipping methods, please let us know in the 'Order Instructions' area during checkout.

Freight and packages are taking longer than expected to arrive in the customer's possession. We know this can be frustrating, but please know that once the package is in the carriers hands, we do not have much control of the timely manner items are delivered. We will do everything we can to assist you and help with tracking and scheduled delivery.

Need your order faster? If you prefer a quicker shipping method such as Next Day please call - 269-651-7902 - or email - Expedited shipping within the continental United States is done through the United States Postal Service, UPS or FedEx. Extra charges will be billed to your credit card for special requests for shipment. If you prefer another shipping method, please contact us with specific instructions. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered from Running Hard Products pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.

In the event we are out of stock on an item, we'll make every effort to locate your product if our distributors cannot supply our needs. If we are unable to fulfill your order in a timely fashion, we will notify you by e-mail or phone with possible substitutions as well as an estimated ship date of the item.

How do you know we received your order? You will receive an "Order Confirmation" email after you pay for your order. If you do not receive that email do the following - #1 Check your Spam folder. #2 Wait a few minutes then check your email/Spam folder again. If you still do not have an "Order Confirmation" email, your order did not process. This has only happened 6 times in 3 years so it's not common, but it can happen, especially around the holidays.

How fast will my custom color order ship? Orders for custom color items (Martha Josey reins, braided hand quirts, etc) can take up to 4 weeks (or longer depending on the time of year). We try to keep the most popular custom color items in stock, but some items have 16,000 possible color combinations. We just can’t keep that many color combinations of one item in stock.

Do I have to place my order online? We know that not everyone is comfortable placing orders online, so we can take your order and information over the phone at 269-651-7902. If no one answers please leave a message. We will call you back within 24 hours. If we don’t call you back, we didn’t get your message. 

Do you charge sales tax? Orders shipped within the state of Michigan are charged sales tax.  

Do you ship internationally? We can! International orders are generally shipped the cheapest via First Class Package Service or Priority Mail. Most Priority International shipments take an average of 7-14 days to arrive. First Class International delivery time varies by location.

You can get an international shipping quote several different ways:

1. Place all of the items you wish to order in your shopping cart. Click the "View Cart" at top of page. Highlight and "Copy" these items with your mouse. Email us at and paste the items from your shopping cart into the body of the email along with your complete shipping address. We reply to your email with exact shipping quote for your international order.


2. If you are not able to "Copy & Paste" items, please send us a complete list of the products that you would like to order along with your complete shipping address with postal codes and we would be happy to check those for you. Again, you can email us at


3. Simply place items into your shopping cart and proceed to "Checkout". During the checkout process, you will see a box for "Special Instructions". Please ask to have a quote emailed to you (ie.. "Please send freight quote before shipping"). Then press "Update Cart." We will email a quote. If you approve, we will send an online invoice or call for payment over the phone.


4. Call us at 269-51-7902. If no one answers, leave a message. We will return your call.

Restrictions - Some items sold by cannot be shipped internationally due to import restrictions, manufacturer restrictions, or size. For example, pet food and products containing animal by-products cannot be shipped internationally.
Limitations - For products shipped internationally, please note that any manufacturer warranty may not be valid, manufacturer service options may not be available, product manuals, instructions and safety warnings may not be in destination country languages; the products (and accompanying materials) may not be designed in accordance with destination country standards, specifications, and labeling requirements, and the products may not conform to destination country voltage and other electrical standards (requiring use of an adapter or converter if appropriate).
